Winding down the evening...
Our Chauffeured trip to Pinewood Studios, UK
Starting the day with lunch and wine at the private studio resturant. The Pinewood Restaurant - The wooden panels from the restaurant were
salvaged from the sunken Cunard liner 'The Muritainia'. It is possibly
one of the most exclusive places to eat at on a weekday as it's a
working studio restaurant and closed to the general public. Although
the restaurant (which is also a ballroom with sprung floor) can be
booked for special events at weekends, it is impossible for
non-industry individuals to experience the studio without special
invitation. The restaurant sometimes appears briefly in movies - the
most memorable is Who Dares Wins (1982), where they used it as the
Embassy and put up fake panels which got shot up during the fight
sequence.

Bryant and Business Partner and Friend Jen in our Conference Room. The Main Boardroom - Again the wood panels are from the salvaged
Muritainia Library.
Bryant, Jen and William. The Gallery - Contains huge framed Photographs of some of the most
famous films made at Pinewood, including many Bond movies, Superman,
Batman, Mission Impossible, Aliens, Tomb Raider, etc. The iron and
window ceiling was salvaged rom the sunken Cunard liner 'The
Muritainia' and was originally the ceiling of the Games Room on the
ship. Many personnel and crew who have worked late at night at
Pinewood have talked about a female ghost in period dress roaming the
gallery and surrounding corridors at night and the sound of her
weeping. The ghost dates back to when the studio was Heatherden Hall
in the Victorian era. It has been used briefly in movies, but I can't
think of any offhand - probably Who Dares Wins and maybe some Bond
movies.

Pinewood Studio's Oldest Building. Heatherden Hall (Pinewood's oldest building) is often used as location
in films, including the Bond classic From Russia With Love, The Great
Gatsby, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and many of the Carry On movies.
On the Lot at World Famous Pinewood Studios. The front lot (in front of A Stage and the studio sign) is usually
where television news reporters stand to make reports. I believe you
can see it in 'Extras' the British comedy show starring Ricky Gervais,
as well as many parts of our walk around that area.
